Diseases From Roaches

What's older than your grandfather and most likely to be here long after you've gone? The answer: the lowly cockroach.

Believe it or not, cockroaches have been around for 400 million years and they're a lot more productive than humans. There are 57 known species in the United States alone.

But you don't have to go there to meet one. The most common type Blatella germanica can be found in almost any kitchen or bathroom.

You'll seldom find roaches in the day; most species are nocturnal. However, you can be sure your home is infested if you find what looks like little grains of pepper or oval, brown egg cases.

The former are the roach's feces while the egg cases are carried by the female under her body until the eggs are ready to hatch. Although the female cockroach lays only one or two eggs in its entire lifetime, each egg contains about 40 eggs.

The nymph or young roach becomes an adult in two or three months. Roaches normally live for nine to 10 months but some species can survive up to three years depending on the environment and food supply.

"Cockroaches thrive on warmth and dampness and show a distinct dislike for lighted rooms. These insects can feed on anything, including paper, leather fabrics, and foodstuff. They cannot withstand long periods of starvation and usually die within two to four weeks under such circumstances," according to the editors of "Health Alert", a publication of the Health Action Information Network (HAIN).

Like flies, roaches can transmit serious diseases like typhoid fever and cholera. The germs responsible for these diseases are picked up by roaches from filth and carried to the food you eat.

Roaches also transmit dysentery, the inflammation of the mucous membrane of the large intestine caused by bacterial or viral infection. This disease is characterized by abdominal pain, cramps, diarrhea, and bloody stool, mucus or pus in the stools. If the patient doesn't get help immediately, he or she may die from dehydration or other complications.

"The cockroach is a very significant threat to public health as it is a mechanical carrier of germs and diseases. It may also pass on parasitic worms, the viruses of poliomyelitis, and other microorganisms such as those carrying hepatitis A and leprosy," warned the editors of "Health Alert."

Male Penis Enlargement Nutrition Secrets

Your diet has a dramatic effect on your penis size and how effective your penis enlargement efforts will ultimately be. This article will reveal the foods to try to get a larger penis size and the foods and lifestyle choices you are making that are making your penis smaller than it should be.

We've all heard the saying "you are what you eat". This is in fact true for snorers and it is also particularly true for men trying to increase the size. Your diet and the foods you eat will have an influence on how effective your enlargement methods will be and also your sexual endurance and erection strength.

The key to enlargement lies in increasing the blood flow to the penis. If there are things in your lifestyle that restrict the blood flowing to your arteries, this will also impact on your male penis enlargement efforts.

The foods that are healthy for you are also the foods that will help you improve your size. Blood flow is critical to not just male penis enlargement but also to sexual endurance and impotence. If you have a poor unhealthy diet consisting of artery clogging foods, neither a pill or exercises are going to help you if you counterbalance all your hard work by continuing to clog your arteries.

Here's A List Of Foods To Try To Increase Your Size Through Diet

If you love chips, hamburgers, ribs, and every fatty food imaginable then the foods I'm about to share with you are going to probably make you roll your eyes up to the ceiling.

Fish, wholewheat grains, lean meats, fruit, vegetables, unprocessed natural foods.
The best foods to avoid for enlargement are fatty deep fried foods, foods with little nutritional value (these are probably the ones that taste the best), white flour products, heavily processed foods, and sugary foods

If your diet is deficient then a mineral or multivitamin supplement can also help you.

If you smoke then you are constantly decreasing the blood flow to the area. For best results give cigarettes the flick.

It is possible to actually train the penis to let more blood flow through the penis with natural penis enlargement exercises and this increased blood flow will give larger and stronger erections.

One natural penis enlargement exercise is the jelq. This rhythmic, slow pulling exercise is said to enable more blood to flow through the penis. Of course, for effective results you must perform these natural penis enlargement exercises frequently and consistently.

One of the best ways to gain firm penis erections is by doing a penis exercise called the PC flex. To perform this penis exercise simply stop peeing before you're finished. Now this exercise isn't comfortable. You will feel a squeeze in that area.

A lot of men will happily try natural penis enlargement exercises as they have the time to put into regular penis enlargement exercises. Other men who don't want to put time nor effort into their penis enlargement options will prefer to try other methods like plastic surgery for penis enlargement and penis enlargement pills.

Five Ways to Have a Good Night Sleep

Insomnia is a common problem to many people. This is a condition wherein a person finds it hard to fall asleep. And so, most people suffering from this ailment opt to take sleeping pills just to get through the night.

Getting enough sleep is very essential specially for working people. Sleeping helps gain back the energy of the body and the serenity of the mind. Without proper and enough sleep, one may feel tired and groggy the following day which can highly affect the daily routine. Thus, it is very important to have a good night sleep. If you have insomnia, it is best to consult a doctor. But, you can also try this simple means to help you get a better sleep.

1. Never take caffeinated drinks - As much as possible try to stay away from drinks with caffeine including coffee, chocolate and tea during the night. These drinks contain a substance called caffeine which can prevent you from getting sleepy even if you are lying on your bed. Many people drink coffee before sleeping which results into being wide awake for hours. So, if you need to get a good sleep in order for you to function properly the next day, avoid drinking these kinds of drinks before bedtime.

2. Eat light dinner - Have your dinner a few hours before sleeping. In this manner, the foods you have eaten are properly digested. And most importantly, avoid eating too much during the night. If possible, get yourself a light dinner. When sleeping, it is said that the digestive system works slower than being awake. So if you eat a heavy dinner, you might feel bloated since the food are slowly digested. Or worse, you might end up going back and forth to the comfort room.

3. Get a warm bath - Performing different activities during the day at the office can really drain the energy and can cause muscle tension. A simple way to relax your muscle and your body is by simply getting yourself a warm bath before hopping up into your bed. Warm water helps soothe the body. If you must, soak yourself in the bathtub. You may put in a little amount of liquid bath soap to make bubbles or a drop of essential oil. Stay on the tub for a few minutes. Play soft music to help you relax.

4. Be consistent in sleeping time - Make it a habit to sleep at the same time every night. If you body get use to it, then it'll never be hard to fall asleep. Once the body set an internal sleeping time, automatically you'll feel sleepy when the clock hits that time. Avoid taking a nap during late afternoon as it can affect your sleeping habit. Consistent sleeping time enables you to have a good rest every single night, that is if you sleep at early hour. Late time can never give you good night sleep.

5. Make a friendly bedroom environment - And lastly, you may not notice it but the look of your room can either deprive you from getting a good night sleep or give you a better sleep. Try sleeping in a room full of mess. Can you rest properly? Absolutely no. Dress up your bedroom according to your preference. If you are a fashionista type of person, hang curtains and place loveseat or ottoman in the corner. You can do other stuff in this part of your room like reading book or checking some papers. If you want to make it simple, just keep it looking clean and tidy. Avoid putting lights that have bright colors as they can stain the eyes.

The above mentioned tips do not guarantee 100% efficacy in terms of having better sleep. But they can help and guide you. After a better rest at night, you will feel re-energized when you wake up. If sleeping is really difficult, visit a doctor.

Don’t Let Worry Destroy Your Health

Worrying never gets good results. It is not good for our emotions, our health, our creative ability or for fulfilling our life. Still we worry that if we don't stress out and worry like everyone else, how will others judge us? Will we be perceived as crazy, not normal, not right or as having low morality?

Why does most of the world live life this way? It is almost inconceivable to think that you can stop worrying. But, we can!

Relaxation expert Sarah McCrum, of the Academy of Potential Education said recently that "we can learn the art of natural relaxation - relaxing our thoughts and our body and simply doing nothing other than breathing and smiling. We can then use our relaxation skills and choose not to worry when we don't want to, and honestly, you never really want to worry. It will take time because we can't shut worrying off after all those years of indulging in it. But we can become better at cutting it off and not spiraling into a black hole." Often, we worry because it is the norm and we don't realize that we have a choice.

We do have a choice if you are aware of it. It is your choice to make! Nobody can make you worry and nobody can stop you from not worrying.

Worry is actually pretty old fashioned. It belongs to our past and it is rapidly going out of style. It's not a creative lifestyle. It's not the lifestyle of the future. Just because most of the whole world worries, it doesn't mean that you have to! As human knowledge develops, human awareness and consciousness expands, and worrying will gradually disappear.

What is replacing worry now is relaxation - a deep trust in life itself. Your creative ability, your happiness, your health and your consciousness will grow the more you improve your ability to be relaxed. Your actions, your work, your responses to the world around you change when you know how to relax.

Often, when we are doing an activity we are either thinking about what we are doing or thinking about something completely different. We might even start to worry. We are too often in a state of unconscious tension, and are simply not physically and emotionally at peace. As a result, we block energy from entering and flowing through our body. And then our meridians aren't open and relaxed, so we get tired and find it difficult to experience joy.

When we learn how to relax and flow with life, we start to appreciate the world in a completely different way. When we are open, happy and experiencing natural relaxation, we can receive a higher source of life energy - quality energy that is light and vibrant, making us more positive and glowing.

Through proper relaxation training, we can learn how to not worry. We can learn how to breathe again like when we were a baby - relaxed and surrendered to life. We don't have to "do anything" but rather, just "be." Soon we learn that worry doesn't stem from external factors, but rather comes from inside ourselves. Then the more we become aware of it the more we can do to release that tension that we call worry.

To prevent worry from destroying your health and happiness, research a little and find a relaxation program with skilled experts to help you realize that there is a reason for everything, a cause and a remedy for everything. Every situation has a solution and we just have to find it. While we are searching we feel good and not so helpless, so we just keep on searching and we don't give up. The more knowledge we have, the more peace we have. We see possibilities, so we have a future. In this way, worry gradually and surely comes to its end.

What is Cancer and how to avoid and destroy it?

Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in the life of a person. When a person's immune system is strong, it destroys cancer cells and prevents them from multiplying and forming tumors. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. May be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle. To overcome the various nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system. Chemotherapy involves poisoning rapidly growth of cancer cells and also destroys rapidly growing cells, bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract, etc. And it can cause damage to organs like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs, testicles. While destroying cancer cells, radiation also burns, scars and damages the cells, tissues and organs.

Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation to often reduce tumor size. However, prolonged use and settlement de quimioterapia not produce greater destruction of the tumor. When the body receives too much toxic burden of chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is affected and destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other parts.

An effective way of fighting is to starve cancer cells by not feeding them the food they need to grow.

CARCINOGENS CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer nutrient. Deleting the sugar is removed the cancer cells a significant source of food. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and are harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small quantities. Table salt has a chemical to give it its white color. A better alternative would Bragg's amino or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are starving.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic, it is best to eat fish and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites of livestock, which are harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet consisting of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and encourage the growth of healthy cells. For enzymes to create healthy cells, try to take fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destruyena temperatures of 40 ยบ C (104 degrees Fahrenheit).

e. Avoid coffee, tea and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water - best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

The protein of meat is difficult to digest and requires many digestive enzymes. The meat remains undigested in the intestines become putrefied and creates more toxic buildup.

The walls of cancer cells have a thick protein shell. When you deprive yourself or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the phagocytes (the cells responsible for killing body cells) to destroy cancer cells.

Some supplements strengthen the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, fatty grasosesenciales [EFAs.] Etc) to allow the phagocytes to destroy cancer cells. It is known that other supplements such as vitamin E cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged cells, unwanted, or unneeded.

Cancer is a disease of the mind, body and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help those who fight against cancer to be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn Athens a kind and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life. 16. Cancer cells can not thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily and deep breathing help to get more oxygen at the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

Liver Cancer – Signs and Symptoms of Liver Cancer

Liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) is a cancer arising from the liver. It is also known as primary liver cancer or hepatoma. The liver is made up of different cell types (for example, bile ducts, blood vessels, and fat-storing cells). However, liver cells (hepatocytes) make up 80% of the liver tissue. Thus, the majority of primary liver cancers (over 90 to 95%) arises from liver cells and is called hepatocellular cancer or carcinoma.

Primary liver cancer is rarely discovered early and often doesn't respond to current treatments — thus, the prognosis is often poor. Even when treatments fail to provide much improvement in the liver cancer itself, pain and other signs and symptoms caused by liver cancer can be aggressively treated to improve quality of life. But the most important news about primary liver cancer is that you can greatly reduce your risk by protecting yourself from hepatitis infection and cirrhosis, the leading causes of the disease.

Secondary Liver Cancer Most of the time when cancer is found in the liver it did not start there but spread to the liver from a cancer that began somewhere else in the body. These tumors are named after the place where they began (the primary site) and are further described as metastatic. For example, cancer that started in the lung and spread to the liver is called metastatic lung cancer to the liver. The rest of the information given here covers only primary liver cancer, that is, cancer that starts in the liver.

Signs and Symptoms of Liver Cancer

Most people don't have signs and symptoms in the early stages of liver cancer, which means the disease may not be detected until it's quite advanced. When symptoms do appear, they may include some or all of the following:
Abdominal pain, especially in the upper right part of your abdomen, that may extend into your back and shoulder. Pain that occurs in the right upper area of the abdomen. The liver is a very nerve rich organ and can be sensitive to changes.

Appetite - People with liver cancer may experience a continuous loss of appetite or feel very full after a small meal.

Worsened hepatitis or cirrhosis symptoms - More severe symptoms in people who have chronic hepatitis or cirrhosis are signs of liver cancer. These symptoms could include fluid in the abdomen, a symptom known as ascites, or the need for more and more water tablets (diuretics) to control the amount of fluid in the abdomen.

Abdominal pain is a very common symptom, and also common in children. Unfortunately, because there are so many possible causes of abdominal pain, and many cases are not serious, many cases of acute appendicitis are misdiagnosed each year as gastroenteritis or some other similar condition, especially in children and infants. Although appendicitis is an uncommon condition, it can be fatal. And there are many other serious conditions that may cause abdominal pain.

Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes caused by an accumulation of bile pigment -bilirubin- in the blood).

Esophageal varices (occurs when the tumor invaded and blocked the portal vein and the blood drains through esophageal veins).

Rarely: bleeding problems. Many of the proteins required for proper blood clotting are created in the liver. Remove these proteins and blood clotting decreases.

Chronic weight loss or wasting. The liver processes all the building blocks. If it fails to process, the body fails to maintain itself.

Eating Mango is Really Beneficial for Health

The mango originated in Southeast Asia where it has been grown for over 4,000 years. Over the years mango groves have spread to many parts of the tropical and sub-tropical world, where the climate allows the mango to grow best. Mango trees are evergreens that will grow to 60 feet tall. The mango tree will fruit 4 to 6 years after planting. Mango trees require hot, dry periods to set and produce a good crop. Most of the mangos sold in the United States are imported from Mexico, Haiti, the Caribbean and South America. Today there are over 1,000 different varieties of mangos throughout the world.

Vitamin Content: Mango is rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin A. Vitamin C content is more in raw mango as compared to that in ripe mango. It also has traces of Vitamin E, Vitamin B and Vitamin K.

The dulcet, juicy insides of the mango pack a nutritional punch. Its characteristic orange color is a clue to its storehouse of beta carotene (Vitamin A). Ripe mangos hold the highest levels of beta carotene, while green mangos are higher in Vitamin C. These antioxidant carotenoids are known for their protective power against certain cancers. Mangos also supply ample potassium, making them ideal for hypertensive patients or anyone looking to replenish energy after physical activity.

Mangoes are high in antioxidants, low in carbohydrates (although they are about 15% sugar – but good sugar!) and like other yellow/orange fruit such as pumpkin and carrot, they are an excellent source of beta-carotene (Vitamin A). They also contain Vitamin E and selenium which help protect against heart disease and cancer. You can obtain 40% of your daily fibre intake from a mango.

We all know the importance of fiber in our diets. If you are eating your mango-a-day, irregularity is not a problem for you and so we'll spare the gruesome details regarding constipation, piles and spastic colon. Research has shown that dietary fiber has a protective effect against degenerative diseases, especially with regards to the heart; may help prevent certain types of cancer, as well as lowering blood cholesterol levels.

The nutritional value of mango makes it good for weight gain, eye disorders, hair loss, heat stroke, prickly heat, diabetes, bacterial infections, sinusitis, piles, indigestion, constipation, morning sickness, diarrhea, dysentery, scurvy, spleen enlargement, liver disorders, menstrual disorders, leucorrhea, and vaginitis.

Mango, being high in calories and carbohydrates, is good for those who are trying to gain weight. The phenolic compound found in mangoes has been found to have powerful antioxidant and anticancer properties. Being high in iron, mango is said to be very good for pregnant women as well as for people suffering from anemia. Mango is believed to be effective in relieving clogged pores of the skin.

Mangoes are a good source of vitamins and minerals essential for the human body. It is an affordable and seasonal fruit. In India mangoes are grown widely in the southern belt. 'Alphonso' variety of mango which is exported world wide is cultivated in 'Ratnagiri' in the southern part of India. Mangoes can be eaten both raw and ripe. Raw mangoes have a sharp sour taste, while the ripe mangoes are juicy and sweet to eat. The fragrance of ripe mangoes tingles ones taste buds.
